Nouveau CLSC de Montréal-Nord

In 2019, the borough of Ville-Marie decided to proceed with the permanent closure of the street to vehicular traffic, in order to provide a new public space for the neighborhood.

Located in the renovated part of Ottawa Street, between Prince Street and Queen Street in the Ville-Marie borough, Place du Sable-Gris was created with the permanent closure of the street to vehicular traffic, thus transforming the street into a four-season cultural expression space.

At the heart of the former Faubourg des Récollets, an area of nearly 1000 square meters. The square is near the Darling Foundry, an old foundry that became a cultural and artistic establishment in 2002.
