Real estate: Restored confidence of buyers by the end of 2024.

The Quebec real estate market ends 2024 with a rise in prices and renewed confidence from buyers.

The real estate market in Quebec ended the fourth quarter of 2024 with a bang, witnessing a resurgence in activity and prices continuing to rise across all major markets in the province compared to the previous year.

The recovery in activity stems from renewed consumer confidence, following five consecutive interest rate cuts by the Bank of Canada in 2024.

First-time buyers have accelerated their efforts, while investors and buyers seeking a higher-end property returned to the market at the end of the year.

Despite current economic and geopolitical tensions, several favorable elements are worth watching and are expected to support the performance of the real estate market in the province and the country in the coming months.
