The Floralies Welcome a Spectacular Disney-Inspired Sculpture
Since June 21, 2025, Parc Jean-Drapeau has been enhanced with three monumental horticultural sculptures, including an impressive 11-meter-tall figure named Mother Nature.
These works, free to visit, celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal and transform the Floralies Gardens into a true botanical fairytale.
Montreal is pulsing with the rhythm of nature and living art with the arrival of three giant sculptures in the Floralies Gardens, located on Île Notre-Dame.
The highlight? The installation of Mother Nature, a majestic green goddess standing 36 feet (11 meters) tall, emerging from a basin, adorned with cascading foliage and an integrated waterfall.
This spectacular piece is inspired by the magical world of Disney and serves as a vibrant tribute to the beauty of our planet.
Alongside Mother Nature, two other creations captivate visitors:
The Man Who Planted Trees, inspired by the Oscar-winning short film, illustrates the transformative power of a single individual on the environment.
Composed of over 100,000 plants, this sculpture embodies hope and resilience.
The Six Pairs of YY, a nod to the Parc Jean-Drapeau logo and the legacy of Expo 67, completes this artistic trio.
The Floralies Gardens were originally created for the 1980 International Horticultural Exhibition, which featured participation from over twenty countries.
The gardens bring together thousands of flowers and a wide variety of trees and shrubs.
Today, they are a green jewel of Montreal.
The 2025 edition promises to be unforgettable, with permanent installations that blend creativity, sustainability, and wonder.
It is part of the 25th anniversary of the Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal, a world-renowned artistic and ecological event.
